North London artist/songwriter/radio host LEVi is today making his NLV Records debut with “Touch Di Road” – a slow-paced, dancehall-tinged burner that sees the pop-songwriter step into his element with confidence.
Produced by Yvng Face, “Touch Di Road” puts LEVi’s penchant for strong melodies and ear-catching rhythms on show. His vocal inflections push and pull with the production, with the higher-pitched flute effortlessly complimenting LEVi’s smooth tone.
Though it’s been a rough year for creatives all round, LEVi stresses that “Touch Di Road” was born out of feeling inspired by those around him. “Touch Di Road is for everyone that’s been out here, putting in that work, through the lockdown, through pandemic,” he said.
“Whether it’s going to see your friends and enjoying yourself locally or flying abroad to see a loved one; this one is about expressing yourself and just vibing.”
