Prolific producer, DJ, tastemaker and full-time club music obsessive, Anna Lunoe today reveals her next project – a new EP titled Everything out on Nov 27 via NLV Records. Launching the announcement is the club anthem ‘Bad Impression’ featuring Los Angeles based multi-hyphenate-creative Rush Davis.

Where ‘Do It’ is all about that melodic bassline, ‘Bad Impression’ is straight up and rowdy. Anna’s expert sample play and track build is on full display, with the carefully crafted arrangement dancing madly around Rush’s sharp one-liners: “My hands up high, my beat down low.. I make a Bad Impression, I know.”

Of today’s ‘Bad Impression’, Anna shares “A few months ago I got an email saying Rush Davis was in town with a spare day and could work tomorrow. I was literally in the middle of releasing In the Mood that week, but I thought, f*ck it, let’s go. So glad I did. In three or four hours we wrote three song ideas, and I barely noticed the time because we spent the whole session laughing and gossiping. After Ibiza in July I went back in to finish the beat. I wanted something big and brave enough for the main room but fun enough for the basement. I had to live up to Rush’s vocals!”

For Rush Davis, the link up with Anna was a total “no brainer” opportunity. Rush explains, “She’s a genuine force who’s moved the culture. ’Bad Impression,’ just summed it all up for me. It holds the energy of showing up on the scene, confident, self-validated, inevitable… fully yourself, no matter the circumstances. Singer, songwriter, producer, DJ and creative director Rush Davis who has collaborated with Kelly Rowland, Scarface, Kaytranada, Duke Dumont, TOKiMONSTA and more. Immersed in the underground, he is a longstanding contributor to the South Central LA ballroom, rave and krump scenes. His practice is shaped by his membership in the House of Xtravaganza and mentorship across music, art, television and fashion.
