Eora / Sydney-based artist Kota Banks drops her second NFT from her NEVER AGAIN! project, “Put It On Me”. Produced by Chunkyluv, the song is another club-forward rhythm with shimmering pop production. Exploring a sensual rnb sound, Kota evokes the flavours of y2k pop divas.

Kota explains how “Put it On Me” came to be,

“Writing Put It On Me was potentially the funnest time I’ve ever had in the studio. It came together really quickly… My producer Chunkyluv started freestyling this amazing riff on his guitar, and I instantly heard the hook. I was feeling sexy and uninhibited which was rare during that period of my life, and wanted to really engage with it and channel it in the music.” 

Both Kota and Chunkyluv are passionate about the future of the blockchain, and are wanting to give fans an unprecedented sense of ownership over the music. Therefore the two have decided to launch the NEVER AGAIN! project as an NFT; a very on-brand move for Kota as a more avant-garde, experimental pop artist.

The songs are almost like pages from Kota’s diary; flirtatious, euphoric, and at times melancholic documentations of the first-phase of falling in love. Kota’s discography has been lauded as unique and clever, and is critically acclaimed.
