Acclaimed Ethiopian-Norwegian visual artist Olana Janfa expands his creative universe with Chicken On Bike / Skillful Man, a 12” vinyl release that fuses 90s dancehall and dub-grooves with the multi-talented creator’s signature vivid storytelling. The record features the infectious new singles Chicken On Bike and Twenty Five An Hour, produced by Harvey Sutherland, as well as Olana’s 2024 standout Skillful Man, crafted by Swick . Instrumental versions of Chicken On Bike and Twenty Five An Hour also appear.

With expressive vocals that weave humour and depth into richly layered rhythms, Olana delivers a truly immersive sonic and visual experience. Pressed on vinyl in collaboration with Record Store Day 2025, the release boasts exclusive cover artwork and hand-curated inner notes from the artist unique to each pressing, making every copy a true collector’s piece.

Olana shares, “Heading into the studio to lay down these new songs, Harvey really gave me the space to experiment and push my creativity in new ways. He pulled from some old ‘90s dancehall influences to create a sound that feels fresh, fun and a little bit wonky, which really fits with the way I like to tell stories. I’ve always loved collecting records and sharing my art with people so seeing this special release come out on vinyl is really a dream – everything feels so much more alive.”
