Gold Fang – OTW

Reggae trailblazer Gold Fang today unveils his new release ‘OTW’ (watch here) alongside the return of his inaugural dancehall and reggae party More Life, now expanded into a month-long residency at The Soda Factory in Eora / Sydney.

The last twelve months has seen Gold Fang continue to canvas his own experiences with identity, culture, talent, and community in the pursuit of music. With Caribbean music remaining at the forefront of his craft, he marked his inaugural More Life party earlier this year in celebration of his roots and now he returns with an expanded month-long residency taking place at The Soda Factory in Eora / Sydney.

Having commenced on June 13 and continuing for four consecutive Thursday nights, Gold Fang and his band will take the stage each week, spotlighting all elements of his Caribbean culture and musical heritage through his music and charismatic performance. Gold Fang will be joined by local DJs KIMANIMistSTTRUKII and more to be announced, for what will be a cross-suave family affair of reggae, dancehall, R&B and hip-hop. More ticket information, see BELOW.

To coincide with the residency, Gold Fang also unveils his new single and video for ‘OTW’. A melodious, smooth track that remains grounded by the hook, ‘OTW’ rests at the intersection of R&B and dancehall, backed by his strong sense of confidence that continues to assert his position in the genre and beyond. Speaking on the release, Gold Fang shares: “This the song u play when u don’t want that person to leave. SPEND SOME TIME. TIME IS SO SHORT AND WE DON’T HAVE A LOT BUT IMPORTANT TO SHARE IT WITH LOVE ONES. OTW//////// FOR ALL THE LOVERS WHO NEED MORE TIME!”

Since the release of his 2023 debut mixtape SMOOVE KILLAGold Fang has steadily solidified his spot at the forefront of the thriving Afro-Caribbean space. Embraced by triple j, FBi Radio, Red Bull, NME, Acclaim Magazine, Music Feeds, Sniffers and more who have praised his “smooth grooves of reggae” (triple j) that has “cemented him as a leading artist in a new wave of diverse talent” (Tone Deaf) and “sounds like nothing else in the scene right now” (Acclaim Magazine), he has also celebrated momentum as a touring artist with support slots alongside international heavy-hitters Lil Nas X, Fire Boy DML and J Balvin, played iconic festivals including SXSW SydneyField Day, Splendour in the Grass, Promiseland and Beyond The Valley and more.
