In the first taste of new music since his debut 2023 mixtape Work Don’t Stop, storyteller, artist and producer Big Skeez returns today with his new single ‘Pick and Go’ out via NLV Records.

Alongside an accompanying video, ‘Pick and Go’ “is about when you’re on the move, focused on progress, not the past. It’s like I’m done with the noise, I’m taking what’s mine and going”. ‘Pick and Go’ is a bold return from an artist with a defined sense of originality, showcasing his take to amapiano and afrobeat that has positioned himself among contemporaries including Pa Salieu, Burna Boy and Skillibeng.

In 2023 Big Skeez released his debut mixtape Work Don’t Stop, a personal release which saw Big Skeez himself immersed in the sounds of Africa, enveloping a collective experience that is proudly from and for a community, whether it lies in Africa or in Dharawal Land / Western Sydney. Earning praise across NMERolling Stone, Acclaim MagazineSniffers, Take Flight and radio support on triple j, FBi, CADA, SYN, 3RRR, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, Apple Music (The Dotty Show), Reprezent Radio, George FM and more, Work Don’t Stop was Big Skeez at his most heartfelt and sincere, with a unique point of difference that highlights the rich history and legacy of culture.

Continuing his sonic output that blends a variety of melodically-driven styles without hesitation, ‘Pick and Go’ is a new, expanded vision for Big Skeez – replete with vibrant guitar chops and distinguished percussion, he takes a hands-on approach to ensure that every beat, melody, and cadence carries a personal touch, reinforcing a deep connection to his craft.

In a mammoth career so far, Big Skeez has voiced and soundtracked the Western Sydney Wanderers A-League team with his song ‘Up’, toured with Allday, amassed over 10k Shazams for his Human Movement-collaboration ‘House Check’, featured in campaigns for Vogue and GQ, and performed at SXSW SydneyBIGSOUNDField Day, Splendour In The GrassBeyond The Valley and Promiseland. Diverse and cutting edge, Big Skeez is in a lane of his own – stay tuned for what’s to come.
