Anna Lunoe, “one of Australian dance music’s biggest exports” today comes together with pop pioneer and former Spice Girl Melanie C for their brand new single ‘Girl’ out now via NLV Records.

Previewed live at London superclub Drumsheds in November last year, ‘Girl’ displays the apex to Anna Lunoe’s genre-agnostic sound and Melanie C’s celebrated sonic landscape. A joining of dance music forces, the collaboration is anthemic pop at the highest level, bridging their own synonymous styles with powerhouse vocals from Melanie C and Anna’s high-energy production.

A long-admired listener, Anna Lunoe shares, “People say never to meet your idols but getting to meet Mel backstage at Coachella in 2024 and subsequently become friends was one of my favourite moments of last year! It’s been so amazing to get to know the wonderful person behind the icon and this song found its home with Mel’s incredible vocal tone and heart! Is this actually happening? Ahh!”

Extending on the UK garage and early 2000s elements explored in her recent debut album Pearl, Anna Lunoe continues her love for dance music through common ground and connection as she welcomes Melanie C’s generational dynamism. Complete with a transcendent bassline and commanding vocals, ‘Girl’ plays to the strengths of both artists like never before and reads like a heart-to-heart – “I got all these things on my mind, and you know it / You got all these things on your mind, and we know it / Cause we got all these things on our mind / Gotta let them go”.
