Anna Lunoe – Deep Blue Sea

Boundary-breaking dance music star Anna Lunoe today unveils her next single Deep Blue Sea’, out via her longtime home at NLV Records.

A release that sets its lyrical anchor in an airspace with emotion-laden synths and driving tech house, Anna Lunoe finds solace in the innate connection to nature, exploring how it can help heal the deepest of wounds: “All the tension building up in me / Let it a float away ‘till it’s out of reach / Wash it off of me I need fantasy / I can breathe in the deep blue sea”. Teaming up with long time collaborator Jack Glass of Bag Raiders, Anna describes the track as “lyrically centered around what I’ve lost and gained through the struggle of the last few turbulent years. It’s sonically determined, intense and hopeful and it absolutely rips on a dancefloor. I am infinitely proud of the world Jack and I created for this and I really hope it finds a home in some other restless hearts.”

In the ever-shifting electronic landscape, ‘Deep Blue Sea’ follows on from her previous release ‘Real Love’, a track that marked the first sonic base of a new era, guided by assured confidence and driven energy. As nature takes shape as an engrossing inspiration, the track itself is embellished with a strong narrative, helming ‘Deep Blue Sea’ as a palpable force loaded up with all the right ingredients.

A name on the global radar, Anna Lunoe’s career highlights are extensive and wide-ranging. Her reputation for pushing sonic boundaries made Anna the perfect fit to help launch Apple Music’s Beats1 platform, where she debuted her HYPERHOUSE brand and radio show which kicks off its third season this month after 7 years on air. Since the birth of her first child in 2017, she has continued producing, touring, and hosting her radio show at a world class level. In 2021 Anna launched her Create/Destroy podcast, as well as a string of releases including club anthems ‘Double Dip’, ‘Back Seat (ft. Genesis Owusu)’ and her acclaimed 2022 Saturday Love EP which garnered praise across triple j, FBi Radio, BBC6, KIIS FM, NME, Billboard, Sniffers, 10 Magazine, and was supported on the live circuit by tastemakers including Four Tet, Skrillex, and Bonobo.
