Brisbane local, REBEL YELL is our #WCW this week. One of the most progressive producers in the country, it is a project by Grace Stevenson. Also in the underground electro-pop outfit 100%, this solo venture explores a demon-like force of industrial techno.
Signed to the ‘Rice is Nice’ imprint, REBEL YELL made her debut in 2016 with her EP ‘Mother of Millions’. Since then, Grace has been steamrolling her way to the top. KCRW’s Henry Rollings has played her on his show multiple times, she also sat inside the AMRAP top 3 for two weeks with ‘Take Me’.
Antwon, Perturbator and Rainbow Chan are just some of the acts REBEL YELL has supported. She’s also played showcases like BIGSOUND, Volumes as well as the King Street Crawl.
Proving to be one of Australia’s exciting, forward thinking producers, Grace is always testing the limits. Her sound, aesthetic and artistry in general are all uniquely REBEL YELL and that is super empowering.
There is a new wave of female producers ready to command your attention and Grace is at the forefront. Another influential and inspirational woman in music, check her out ASAP!
